Guangxi Opens Route To Greater Bay Area For White Sugar Transportation

A few days ago, a freight train loaded with 156 tons of sugar left Nanningnan Station Station and arrived at Zhaoqing Station three days later. This marks that CR-Nanning has opened a route for white sugar transportation to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Moisture-sensitive white sugar cannot endure long-time transportation. Nanning Railway Logistics Center formulated a logistics scheme, taking the preferential price of railway transportation and the “fixed price” policy into consideration, to transport goods by trains instead of trucks to reduce costs for customers. “The leak-proof performance of containers and the steadiness of railway transportation favor white sugar, which requires a safe and clean environment. That’s just what we need. In the future, we will seek closer cooperation with the railway department and develop more railway logistic projects,” said Zhou Fuyun, general manager of Guangdong Zhongmiao Trading Co., Ltd., when he praised the railway service.

At present, CR-Nanning has opened two routes from Guangxi to the Greater Bay Area - “Nanningnan Station to Zhaoqing” and “Xiaopingyang to Zhaoqing” - and will open new routes including “Liujing to Zhaoqing” and “Chongzuo to Zhaoqing” to extend the range of transport. The new routes are expected to transport an additional 1,000 tons per month.
